Xbox 360: Взгляд Изнутри

Microsoft официально представила свою новую игровую систему Xbox 360 с сильной линейкой продуктов и значительно улучшенным дизайном. Впрочем, новая разработка частично повторяет ошибки своего предшественника. В первую очередь – это размеры. Xbox имеет следующие параметры системы: 3.5" x 10.25" x 12.75". Xbox 360 не слишком далеко ушел от оригинала: 3.27" x 10.16" x 12.17". Кроме того, как мы отмечали ранее, система сильно греется, и чтобы охладить три процессора Microsoft пришлось использовать водную систему охлаждения. Именно за счет удаления из приставки колера приставка получилось чуть меньше, чем это предполагалось ранее. Но 11.5% не так много, как этого хотелось бы японским игрокам. Кроме того, стало известно точное назначение “Circle of Light”. Большая круглая кнопка позволяет присоединять к приставке до 4 беспроводных джойстиков, подсвечиваясь цветом подключенного устройства или отображая цветом активный в данный момент игровой сервис. Данная система позволяет блокировать джойстик от нелегального использования и предлагает родительский контроль на некоторые разработки. И, наконец, система поддерживает максимальное количество портативных устройств, включая камеры и телефоны, позволяя пользователю перегонять данные через USB кабель. В качестве примера был приведен PSP от конкурентов. Ну, и конечно, спецификации системы, позаимствованные нами у коллег с VE3D:
